Rekeying a lock is a meticulous, multi-step process that requires precision and full access to both the interior and exterior sides of the door. To begin, the door must be unlocked, as this is the only way to reach the internal screws that secure the lock in place. Once the lock is removed and we have the mechanism in hand, we carefully open the cylinder and separate it from the housing. From there, we disassemble the internal components until we gain access to the pins inside the core.
